Special live dramatic performance by Encore of Southern Pines written by Connor Gerney
"Experience the magic of Tall Tales of Appalachia, a lively collection of American folktales from the "Old North State" brought to life on stage. This educational and entertaining show celebrates the rich cultural heritage of North Carolina through legends of the Cherokee people, Davy Crockett adventures, and classic Appalachian Jack Tales. Explore how wide-ranging values and traditions shape local communities; connect these tales to North Carolinaβs unique identity; and explore how storytelling and cultural expression contribute to the broader American experience. This traveling performance inspires reading, cultural understanding, and pride in our nationβs history."
