Join us as we celebrate National Reading Month. Enjoy storytime stations throughout the grounds, craft table, activities, literary character costume contest, book exchange table. Meet local authors and have your books signed!

"Experience the magic of Tall Tales of Appalachia, a lively collection of American folktales from the "Old North State" brought to life on stage. This educational and entertaining show celebrates the rich cultural heritage of North Carolina through legends of the Cherokee people, Davy Crockett adventures, and classic Appalachian Jack Tales. Explore how wide-ranging values and traditions shape local communities; connect these tales to North Carolina’s unique identity; and explore how storytelling and cultural expression contribute to the broader American experience. This traveling performance inspires reading, cultural understanding, and pride in our nation’s history."
