Streets Superintendent Archie Daniel knows that while adults are always glad to see snow plows rolling through Southern Pines, kids… not so much 😉 (because snow might mean school doesn’t get canceled).
So Archie had an idea:
What if kids could paint the Town’s snow plows — and then see their artwork driving through town this winter?
On Monday, December 29 at 1 PM, Archie and the team are inviting families to the Public Works Yard for Paint the Plow. Kids will get to decorate the Town’s snow plows.
Archie and his team will also give families a behind-the-scenes tour of the yard, see the equipment up close, and learn how our team prepares to keep Southern Pines safe during winter weather.

This free, family-friendly event is a fun way to meet the team that works hard behind the scenes — and maybe help kids feel a little better the next time they see a plow roll by. 😊
